Living on the Earth was my favorite book ...OHMYGOD! Living on the Earth was my favorite book for years, I remember traveling from one home to the next and it was the one book that made it cause I didn't know if I would ever find it again. Eventually it fell apart and, somehow, incredibly, I forgot about it (there was also a sort of sequel, also handwritten, that she wrote with Ramon Sender called Being of the Sun. <br />They are like old friends, and it's great to see them on amazon (I thought I'd never see them again)<br />Your last sentence made me tear up a little. <br />Thank you SO MUCH for reminding me of these books, as well as Ursula K. LeGuin. (and of course Ecotopia, which I'll have to read again)<br />Great post, I'm hitting the library soon.
